Thermostat says it is connected to WiFi but app says it is not. I have the app on two devices, both say the same. I have been through all of the steps recommended in Nest Support including a complete reset. Worked well for about four years. Stopped working about a month ago. Very close to router with excellent signal. Upstairs thermostat and doorbell camera still work fine on app.

I was having the same issue. It said the connection was off as of 6 hours ago. So I went to each thermostat and did the wifi setting again to connect each thermostat. That went fine. But my app still was offline. I restarted my phone, checked my wifi connection on my phone and that seemed to clear it up.
I also noted that my ROKU had lost connection, so it was my wifi for sure that screwed it up.

Hey folks,
Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community.
@Dal, thanks for being ahead of troubleshooting. Could you try to log out and log in after a couple of minutes? Also, check your router settings as it is possible that your upstair Nest devices is connected to a different WiFi network on your router.
Thank you for sharing your insights here, Moonchild. You are correct, sometimes our routers might have an update or hiccups that might result in this kind of behavior. Please let us know how it goes for the next couple of days.
Best regards,
Ryan
