Installed a new Nest thermostat in my home, it is running ac compressor after every heat cycle. Tried everything checked wiring and all other things but nothing worked. Finally switched back to my old thermostat and things are normal now.

unnecesary to buy this as it was useless and it caused my hydro bill to spike

Hi Gadesrinivas,

Thanks for reaching out and for being a step ahead of us. I'm sorry to hear that the issue persists. I'd like to know more about it. A few questions: what type of Nest Thermostat do you have? In what country are you located? Checking your thermostat's Energy History will tell you what your thermostat was doing previously. Also, gather and share with us your thermostat's power reading.

Check out the guide below:

Nest Learning Thermostat and Nest Thermostat E:

  1. Go to your thermostat Quick View menu.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Look for Technical Info.
  4. Select Power.

Nest Thermostat 2020:

  1. Open the Google Home app and then tap the thermostat and then tap Settings .
  2. Select the Device Information.
  3. Choose Technical Information.

Best,

Jenelyn
