You say the unit is not responding. That is extremely vague description of whatever is going on. Are you saying your thermostat is on and active but your HVAC system is not operating,  or, are you saying that your Nest app is not responding? Or perhaps, are you saying that the nest thermostat is not talking to your app?

How about you provide more detail so we can help you

The nest app is not talking to my thermostat.  I have a technician coming tomorrow to see why the thermostat doesn’t turn on the furnace but the app connection to the thermostat is puzzling me most.

when people post, they don’t always include the information that would best help you save some money. You should post a picture of your old thermostat with the wires, and then post a picture of your nest with the wire so we can see if you installed it properly. Don’t be a bit surprised if the service technician tries to tell you to take the nest down and hit him cellular thermostat and waste your money.

Hi Mylesnoel,

Thanks for posting here in the Community forum, and I'm sorry to hear about the situation.

I wanted to check and see if you managed to see the information that CoolingWizard has shared and help us with the wiring photo of your Nest Thermostat so we can better check on this.

Also, a few questions: what type of Nest thermostat do you have? Is there any error message that your Nest Thermostat says when you try to call for heat?

We'll look forward to your response.

Thanks for your help, .

Best,

Zoe
