Nest thermostat

I installed nest thermostat using Google home app. I have also installed Nest android app. How do I add this thermostat to my nest app? I am not able to get the 6 character key from my installed thermostat. Thank you

Which Nest Thermostat do you have?

If you have the new Nest Thermostat (not the Nest Learning Thermostat 3rd gen) then it is managed only in the Google Home app.

The new Nest Thermostat is the pinkish "Sand" colored one on this page (though yours may be a different color).
