Nest thermostats

Is my system compatible? And if so, how do I connect? What do I do with the jumper wire (brown)?

Thanks for reaching out here in the Google Nest Community.

It looks like you have a heat pump type of HVAC system and it is compatible with Nest Thermostat. The brown wire (jumper) is no longer needed when you connect it with Nest Thermostat. Here's how you are going to wire it:

• Red wire to Rc or Rh in Nest Thermostat
• White wire to OB terminal
• Yellow wire to Y terminal
• Green wire to G terminal
• Blue wire to C terminal (common wire)

The nest thermostat I have doesn’t have an Rc or Rh terminal - but an R terminal  

The set up did not work and the Google home app didn’t find the thermostat

Thanks for the reply and sorry for the delay.

If you still haven't installed your Nest Thermostat, we could try to completely reset it and then do the setup process once more..
