Nest turns AC off when fan stops

Hello! Our Nest keeps shutting off the AC cooling when the fan stops. It only cools if the fan is continuously on. We had an HVAC repair person come and he said nothing is wrong with the HVAC system, and suggested the Nest is broken. 

Background...Nest was purchased Nov 2021, we have had no issues with it until today which happens to incredibly hot outside. We did not touch the wiring but we did reset to factory settings.

I am adding a pic of the wiring that was done at set-up and we have not touched since.

 

Anyone have any suggestions? Thank you in advance.

Thanks for reaching out here in the Google Nest Community.

Could you try going to the settings > equipment > select the right heat type and source. Also, we re-insert all the wires on their terminals.
