At which point the thermostat throws up a H71 error.
I've had my 3rd gen for over 5yrs with no probs then last autumn it started dropping the connection to the heat link. No changes to my wifi or the positions of the thermostat or heat link. At first, it only dropped occasionally, but the last week it's been a nightmare. I've even had the thermostat looking at the heat link and they still won't connect (blue light flashing on the heat link etc).
In the rare moment it does connect and I can get to the menu, under tech info -> heat link, the Weave Connectivity goes up and down from 20% to 6% and 0% and then throws a fit.
I've turned my wifi off (two Ubiquity AP points) and I still have the same problem. A wifi scanner app does show other 2.4Ghz networks, but all very low power.
It would really help to get to the menu at this point or even run a diagnostic.
Whats the issue? As I've said it worked fine for years with no changes to the flat layout, distance to the heat link, wifi etc.
Cheers
(a rather cold) Rob

I did a full reset on the thermostat and that was fine for a few days. Then it started dropping the connection to the heat link again. This happened after adjusting the temperature on the thermostat, though that could totally just be a coincidence.
