Nest wildly swings temperature

My Google nest keeps wildly swinging the temperature the last 3 weeks. Sometimes it will turn it up to the max, 90. Othertimes it will go down to the min 50. It does it when we're home and also when we're out. What's going on?

Hi Swillett,

Thank you for reaching out to the community! I'm sorry to hear that for the last three weeks your Nest thermostat has been swinging wildly in temperature, reaching a maximum of 90 degrees and sometimes dropping down to a minimum of 50 degrees. I understand how inconvenient it is having these unpredictable temperature changes, especially when you're both at home and away. I'd be happy to help!

In the meantime, I’d suggest the following steps:

  • Check the Energy History to see if some features are causing the unusual thermostat activation. For more information, see this article: Thermostat Energy History.

Keep me posted.

Best regards,

Jenniffer
