Nest wire issues

I’ve tried wiring it both with the conventional and heat pump designations without successfully getting the cooling to work. I’m not sure where to go from here. I have a unit outside and it seems like there’s a furnace inside as well?

Recommended wiring.

Blue - C to C

Red - R to Rc (jumper to Rc not needed)

Orange - O/B to OB

Yellow - Y to Y1

Green - G to G

White - AUX/E to W2/AUX

If your system starts to blow cool air when your Nest thermostat is in Heat mode (or if it blows warm air when it's in Cool mode), change the settings for orientation of your heat pump.

Nest Learning Thermostat

  1.  On your thermostat, go to Settings.
  2. Select Equipment.
  3. Select Continue > Continue.
  4. Select Heat Pump.
  5. The Nest Thermostat defaults to an O setting for heat pumps.
    • If the O option is highlighted, select B.
    • If the B option is highlighted, select O.
  6. To make sure the issue is resolved, test your heating and cooling again.

Sorry for not replying - that is how I had it wired. What fixed it, in addition to the wiring, was figuring out I have a dual fuel heat system. I’m not sure how that adjusts the phases in the heat pump but as soon as I made that change in the settings it worked properly.
