So... I installed a new router. Apparently forgot my pin and now am locked out of my nest. Anyone have a solution? Already tried holding down for 10 seconds and it just resets to the lockout screen (pin screen)

You should be able to change your pin using the Nest app

I wish. Nest app says it's offline because nest isn't on new wifi

I assume you used the same ssid and password for your wifi credentials as your previous router? if yes, did you ensure both 2.4ghz and 5ghz were setup on the router?

No said and password are different. That's the whole problem.

Ok thanks. Did you try resetting your network connection on the nest device itself? should be in settings -> reset -> network connection.

All set. I had to do the whole process of unplugging, hook up to computer and do the file download, name change... A pain but at least it worked. Thank you
