Hello.
I have a Nest model 1.4 thermostat that’s issued a low battery alert.
Will the thermostat function and work on its current schedule until I’m back on location in 6 months if backup batteries die? System’s set to hold with A/C going on at a high inside temp, heat off and no changes at all in the setting. Just trying to prevent excessive heat. This is one of 3 identical thermostats at the location.
Thank you.

It might, it might not.
If the battery does completely die the thermostat will stop functioning and won't be able to keep on schedule?
I'm going to guess that there is no C wire installed.

Thanks, Everyone for your help. I think the C wire is probably installed, since it was a professional install, but I'm not sure.
I've reached out to the company that did the installation to see if they can provide any insight.
I think we can close out this thread.

Hi Sbf907,
Thanks for the update. I'll give more time for others to visit this thread before closing it and you can also give us an update once the company that installed your thermostat have checked it.
Thanks,
Edward
