Nest

I have had my Nest thermostat for some time. It worked great and always connected to the internet. It was working fine till we went on vacation.  When we got back it looked Iike it had had done and update as before we left it said Nest and now it shows Google. I tried to do the rest as per all the boards but it won’t see the network it was on before we left.  I have tried many things making sure my phone was on the 2.4ghz network but no matter what I do it won’t see my network.  I have even tried to setup the network with out the app same thing won’t see any networks.   And each time I go though this whole thing it looses its mind and have to setup without app and network. Then it will work manually.
Any clue on what is next and this was a very expensive thermostat and really don’t want to throw it away.

Many, many users appear to be in the same situation following the update to 6.2-22.

So is there any resolution from Google on what we are to do know?   This is a very expensive thermostat just to chuck in the trash and replace.

Support told me to buy a new one, saying there was no way the firmware update caused the inability to find Wi-Fi networks, despite the fact it failed immediately after the update. 🤨
