I have had a new kettle installed. After reconnecting and not changing anything on the thermostat or app, the basics are working, it is getting warm when needed. But it seems to take a lot longer. It appears to take a very long time that the Nest is showing orange (heating). Should I have reset anything, does it take a while for the Nest to learn the new system?

Thanks for checking it with us. I'd like to know more about it. A few questions: what type of Nest Thermostat do you have? In what country are you located? Do you notice any messages or codes on your thermostat or in the app?

Hi Jenelyn, thanks for reaching out. it's a Nest Learning Thermostat 2nd gen. I live in The Netherlands. I got no messages other than the symptoms written below. And it's more a question like how will the Nest know and act when a new kettle is installed. How will it know that the kettle may behave differently, work with a lower kettle temperature for example. Could it be that it just takes a few days or weeks to get the learning updated?
