No Wi-Fi in the country house

This is for a house in the country that we are only there occasionally so there is no wi-fi!  Will this still work?

At least initially, Nest Thermostat must be connected to a Wi-Fi network with an internet connection. Once setup, it can be disconnected from Wi-Fi and can be controlled manually from the thermostat.
