Shouldn't I be able to see what the current temperature is in the Nest app or in Google home? This seems kinda ridiculous

When I access the Google Nest app, it alternates between displaying the name of our Google Nest "home/structure" and the current temperature. The home.nest.com website does the same thing.

Nope, that's the outside temp.
I have multiple thermostats in my home and none of them show the current temperature in the app.
The only temperature it will show is the set temperature if it is in either heat/cool mode.
It's pretty lame that I can't open the app to glance at the thermostats and see what temperatures reading in my home when I'm not there.
Kinda regretting making the switch to these. Thankfully Costco has a good return policy.

If you tap your thermostat icon in the Google Nest app, you're supposed to be able to see your current and target temperatures for that thermostat:
"Open the Nest app and tap your thermostat on the home screen. Your current and target temperatures will appear in the Nest app, just like on your thermostat."

Why isn't there some type of app setting to change this when the equipment is set to off? Not being able to control what you see in the app makes little too no sense at all.
From a Google Home experience standpoint the nest app is disconnected and a huge step backwards.
