Hi there Ehal125!

Since an error message is now displaying on your Nest thermostat, it will impact its ability to manage heating. Don't worry. I'm here to help! Here's some information that can assist you in resolving it.

  • Check if your unit is receiving enough power. Even though the wire might be in the thermostat's base, it might not be getting power from your unit.
  • Check for a C wire. If you have one, it might not be properly grounded, and that could be causing the error message.
  • Re-strip and Re-seat your wires. While ensuring your breakers are off, strip the wires to expose 1/3 inch to 1/2 of copper, then re-seat them into the connectors.

If none of these steps work, I recommend contacting an HVAC specialist. Your unit might require maintenance due to issues like dirty air filters or a blown fuse that could cause your system to trigger this thermostat's error code.

Please let me know how it goes!

Kindly,

Angel
