Not able to add Temperature Sensor

HenriqueVale
Community Member

Hi,

Recently acquired a Nest Temperature Sensor to add to one of my Nest Thermostat 3rd generation and when I try to add it on the Nest App, I always get the message that my Thermostat needs to be update first.

Check the SW version and I have 6.2-22. When I try to update, the Thermostat indicates it is updated with last version.

WiFi is on, Bluetooth is on.

Any thoughts of what could be the problem?

Thx

Hi HenriqueVale,

Thanks for reaching out and we're sorry for the delay.

Some updates may not be available to other devices yet. We could continue on checking for the available updates in the next couple of days by going to settings > software > updates. Make sure to restart your Nest thermostat and your Wi-Fi router.

Also, remove the battery from the Nest Temperature Sensor for about 1 minute and then try the pairing process again.

Let me know how it goes by replying to this thread.

Best regards,

Ryan

Hi,

No luck as Thermostats indicate as having most recent SW version and still cannot add the sensor.

Is there any limitations in terms of countries? I am in UAE.

Hey HenriqueVale,

That's correct — some features may not be supported in your country. Our team is working hard to bring our devices to more regions. We'll take it as feedback. Also, check out this link on how to file feedback.

Thanks,

Archie
