Our nest thermostat is not cooling.
We had some people working on our accordion doors they had the door open for a couple of hours and now it’s 79° in my house and I have lowered the temperature but can’t get it to kick on. I just restarted the thermostat but doesn’t seem to be doing anything to reduce the temp in the house. Help

Are you saying the AC is not running or just not cooling? Is air entering the return filter and coming out one of the supply registers? Does the air feel cold or at least cool?

And, as a complement to CoolingWizard's helpful answer, what does the Nest show that it's doing? Does its display show that it knows the temperature is 79, and that it knows you want a lower temperature? Does it say that it has called for your AC to start cooling? You can try fiddling with some other settings to see if that will change its behavior. E.g., set the Eco temperature as low as it will go and then turn on Eco Mode.
(The question is whether the Nest is confused about what it's supposed to be doing, or is malfunctioning, or whether the Nest is fine but there's something wrong with your AC.)
