Thanks for reaching out here in the community! I'm sorry to hear that the thermostat indicates an inside temperature of 108 degrees when it is not, and that you are unable to turn on the heat. I'd be happy to help!
To better investigate the inconvenience, I'd like to ask the following:
- What is the model of your Nest thermostat? Here’s a helpful article about how to identify your thermostat model.
- When was the thermostat installed?
- Where is the thermostat located (room and wall or stand)?
- Do you have other active Nest thermostats? If so, are they experiencing the same inconvenience?
- How big is the difference between the readout of the Nest thermostat and your thermometer or other thermostats?
- What type of HVAC system do you have?
- Have you made any recent adjustments to your HVAC system?
In the meantime, I'd appreciate it if you could check the WiFi signal strength by going to Settings > Technical Info > Network or Settings > Network, depending on the thermostat model. Additionally, please check the ambient temperature with a thermometer and take a photo of the thermometer next to the Nest thermostat to see the difference in readings.
