Old phone number linked to Nest account

drosselbande

Hello,

first of all is there a hotline I can call???

I need to reset the password for my nest account. My nest account is linked to my google account. I cannot receive the confirmation code to change my password since my nest account is still linked to an old (german) phone number. I don't live in Germany anymore and I don't have access to this old phone number. I have updated my new US phone number in my google account but Nest is still sending the code to old number.

What can I do and no, complete Nest reset is NOT an option! Nest sends the code to my old number, therefore somebody can look it up in the system and change/ delete it.

Thanks,

Guido

Hey folks,

Appreciate your answer, Frustratedddd.

Sorry for the delayed response, drosselbande. Do you still need help with this? If yes, you may reach out to our support team for real time support via phone, chat or social media here: https://bit.ly/3adTfGB Just be sure to select the right country you are in at the bottom of the page.

lucianleewilson, I'm afraid that you might need to reset that Nest camera to it's default settings so that it will be disassociated from the Nest account where your old phone number is connected to. That way, you will be able to set it up to another working account. What type of Nest camera do you have so I can provide you the step by step guide to reset it?

Best,

Melba
