Peak VA ampere for Nest Thermostat

influenist
Community Member

As it seems its hard for any Google engineer to properly provide this data. I'm having 20 of these thermostats in our home. Pared 4 of each to a ring transformer with 24 VAC and a 8VA load limit. Kindly provide the power consumption of these thermostats. Like asked before, without any satisfactional reply (@jammy54). Also note a HVAC specialist would not know this information if you wouldn't provide this data. Only you, as in Google would have this information.

Hi influenist,

Thanks for reaching out, and I'm sorry for the late response. Nest Thermostats require less than 1 kWh per month in power consumption and a 20–30 V AC voltage requirement. On the other hand, some 3rd-party C-wire adapters can cause problems or damage your Nest Thermostat, even if they claim to be Nest-compatible. We recommend using a Nest Power Connector to ensure compatibility and best performance with your thermostat.
