Several years ago I purchased a nest thermostat but found that following thunderstorms when the power fluctuated the thermostat would not work. I went through 3 new thermostats before getting a full refund from Nest, and went back to my original programmable thermostat
I live in Houston and thunder storms are frequent. During the last hurricane we had to use a generator which doesn’t have the cleanest power
My question is has this issue has been resolved?
is there some kind of power supply protection built into new versions of the Nest thermostat?
I would like to get another smart thermostat but I do not want to go through that again
