The system really needs a program button and an override button.
There are times when I tell the system to go to a certain temperature set point and after I do so I find that the system has decided that I am either not home or something else and gone back to the programmed temperature instead of what I told it to.
This is highly annoying if I am say 2 hours away and I know that when I get home I want the house cool. I set the house to a temperature but by the time I get there I find out it decided to go back into eco, or go into a very high temperature because for some reason it set to a temperature I'd like the house to be in the winter instead of what I'd like it to be in the summer. I know how to do and change the schedules, and if I weren't home I'd be fine with it at that temperature.
If I could tell the system to override the programming, at least until a certain time, or just until I tell it to go back to program. that would be preferred.
Going through the help system and putting in feedback took me to a page with several links, the links didn't send me to these forms directly, it's that they sent me to posts in these forms.
I went to both the same feedback, and send feedback to Google nest, and they both took me to specific posts. from this page.

On the thermostat:
To turn off Home/Away Assist in the Google Home app, follow these steps:
