Random temp changes to 50/70 (heat/cool).

My Nest randomly changes the temperature. Usually to 50/70. I looked in thread below (and others), no useful solution. Nothing in google calendar. Wiring is fine. Worked great for 3 years, now this.

Last time was 12-24-22, right in the middle of the 6 degree, high wind arctic blast. Nothing in nest log, no activity that day. We were home, inside, near the thermostat all day. It started getting real cold real quick.

Not in Alexa, Siri, etc.

I changed my google PSW also.

Can I un-migrate this from google and put it back on nest app?

Hi Tony_H,

Thanks for posting ― let's get this sorted out.

A few questions: what Nest Thermostat do you have? Check this link to know what thermostat you have. Also, what troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

Best,
Mel

Hello there,

I'm sorry for the late reply, and I know it's been a while, but I wanted to ensure that everything was covered here.

Thanks for assisting, Mel.

@Tony_H, how's it going? Are you still experiencing an unexpected temperature change? If so, please make sure to turn off "Auto-schedule" under the Nest Sense settings on your actual thermostat. Also, disable the "Home and Away Assist" settings if there are any. Please let me know if that helps, or if the issue still persists.

Regards,

Mark

I had to turn off the auto schedule on the thermostat itself and reset it. Somewhere along the way it learned a bad habit.

Still happens. Very random times/days, not like a calendar.
