Randomly Keep Getting Logged Out of the App

Why does this issue KEEP RANDOMLY happening (every week or two)  - and it is almost always in the late afternoon?

Yesterday, about 3pm, I tried to login in to my Nest app and it said "Try again later. Having trouble connecting."  

Tried a few more times, and blotto - it said I NOW had to log in again.  Grrrr.

So, tried to log in  and I'm now getting the dreaded "Couldn't Sign In" msg!  DOUBLE Grrrrrr!

Tried on my Mac and got the same error.

Husband (primary) is having NO ISSUES, logging in on his iPhone 15,  (sitting right next to me), yet my iPhone 15 (and Mac) keeps randomly logging me out.

This has happened SEVERAL TIMES over the months.

He's then re-set his password and it STILL DOESN"T work on my phone or Mac. 

Sometimes this "resetting of password does work, but not always.   Then, it works on my phone for awhile (days) and then, SUDDENLY, it stops working.

We've double-checked credentials and I am using the correct credentials, but now, STILL cannot login since yesterday and tired of not knowing what is triggering the original "Try Again Later" error msg - ONLY ON MY PHONE, as that seems to be where this path starts.

Please HELP!!!

  1. What is the iOS version?
  2. What is the mobile app version?
  3. What is your service provider?
  4. When did you first encounter the issue?

Please check the following advanced troubleshooting steps as you have already tried basic options:

  1. Verify the device’s Date and Time settings are correct and automatically set.
  2. Confirm that the Nest app has permissions to use the phone's location.
  3. Check the ‎Apple Store for Nest app updates.
  4. Check for any available iOS updates.
  5. Sign out of the Nest app and sign back in.
  6. Force close the Nest app.
  7. Test if the issue persists on both Wi-Fi and cellular data, if applicable.
