Okay I hate to beat a dead horse but I spoke spoke to nest support 2 times and both times I have been told that I do not need to worry about the jumper wire to activate my emergency heat that the nest thermostat will take of this.
A couple people on here have said different. I'm lost as to what is right.

What jumper, which system, which country?
Reason for asking, in the UK we fit a jumper bewteen terminals 2 & 4, but that's a different system to USA for example.

Hi designwebs,
Thanks for posting. I understand that you want to make sure about the installation of your Nest thermostat and the jumper for the emergency heat. Don't worry, I can help. Please let me explain: Nest thermostat connectors are built so that only one wire can be inserted into each connector. Putting more than one wire into a Nest thermostat connector can cause damage to your system and thermostat. You can check detailed information on the "Learn about thermostat jumper wires" and the "Set up Emergency Heat".
Please let me know if you have more questions. I'll be happy to help.
Best regards,
Jenny
