Rebates signup circular loop

Is anyone else stuck in a circular loop trying to sign up for rebates? It says I'm eligible. I click to sign in. I have migrated my account to Google and try to sign in that way and cannot get past the sign in screen. It just keeps asking me to sign in over and over. I tried signing in with my old nest account - does the same thing. How do I get past this step?

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community forum. I’m sorry to hear you’re having issues signing in on your Nest app. Let’s check this out. Follow the steps below:

  1. Check for any Android updates or iOS updates.
  2. Make sure the Nest app version is updated by uninstalling the Nest app.
  3. Restart your phone and reinstall the app.

If you’re still experiencing the same issue, try it using a different form.

Hello. I did all the recommended steps and still get the same result - endless signin loop that never goes anywhere. Where would I find other forms? I tried doing the DTE and the Consumers Energy forms (both say I'm eligible) from the app and get the same result. Thank you!!

Thanks for the update. I apologize for the confusion. What I mean is the phone. If you still have the same problem, try to use a different phone. Let’s gather more information to look deeper into this. Please answer the following:

  1. What kind of phone are you currently using?
  2. What OS version is it currently running?
  3. What is the software version of your Nest app? Follow the steps below to get this information.

Nest app

  1. Open the Nest app Nest app.
  2. On the home screen, tap your Nest product.
  3. Tap Settings Nest settings icon.
  4. Select Technical info.
  5. The current version will appear next to 'Software'.

Hi Renz,

Thanks for the quick response. I'd have to see if a friend would let me borrow their phone in order to try a different phone.

Here's the info you requested:

Samsung S22, One UI 5.1, android version 13

I checked for updates (there were none) and restarted my phone. Same issue persists.

Nest Learning Thermostat model display 3.4, Software 6.2-27

I tried getting to the rebate form through Google Home instead of the Nest app. I entered the same endless sign-in loop. Please let me know if there is any additional info you need. Thank you!!
