Reconnecting to wifi after being gone

Jette
Community Member

We turned off our wifi as we were going to be gone for several months. I've turned the internet/wifi back on now but my thermostat doesn't appear to have reconnected.  When we've turned it off to reboot the wifi at home, it automatically connects but now it's not. Is this something that has to be done on-site or should is automatically try to reconnect? We're not home yet.

Hey Jette,

Sorry to hear about your thermostat and also for the delayed response.

I'm afraid that we would need you to be on the same location as the thermostat. This is because we might need more details on what is happening on the device as well as the steps that we'll be doing require you to be beside the thermostat itself.

Best,

Melba

I discovered that the wifi had been unplugged. Once it was plugged in, the nest connected right away. Thanks
