Is it correct that Google no longer supports, sells, or manufactures the wiring harness, also referred to as the Nest Learning Thermostat 3rd Generation Base Plate? If so, I would like to have all of my money returned, since replacement parts are unable to be used. How do I go about getting a full refund for my 4 units? For reference: https://store.google.com/product/nest_learning_thermostat_3rd_gen_base?hl=en-US
It shows as "No Longer Available"

Hi DaryanDinDFW,
Thanks for reaching out in the Google Nest Community Forum.
I understand that our Google Store page is no longer showing the Nest Learning Thermostat 3rd generation base plate offer. But I'm happy to confirm that we are still supporting it and have no news to share about discontinuing it. This version is still our advanced version, which supports multi-stage HVAC systems and accessories.
To confirm, are you having issues with your thermostats? Please provide us with more details and let us know you still need help.
Regards,
Mark

I need the spare baseplates because they fault out in my units. I kept spares because three have failed in the last year due to power surges and failures. I need to order three backups, as my one unit has power failings. Even though there is no power failure. Very simply: how do I obtain three backup parts like this from Google?

Hi folks,
@DaryanDinDFW, chiming in—gotcha. Worry not—though Google Store has no stocks for Nest Learning Thermostat 3rd generation base as of the moment, you may still buy your backup bases through the nearest authorized third-party electronic merchants in your areas, who also have the capability the same as what Google Store sells and is still being supported.
Thanks for your help, Mark.
Best,
Zoe

who are the authorized-third party electronic merchants. if they have the same capability as the google store, that is not very helpful considering you all are not manufacturing the base as an independent offering. can you please provide a list of vendors where i can order this product?

Again, @Markjosephp - I am needing to order the units as spares, because they frequently fault. The resistors in the unit have a low Ohm rating, and blow out any time there is "unclean" or a "spike" in power. As such, to keep these darn units working, I need to order spares. The red power line consistency blows out, and has on 3 of my units. So, very simply, how do I get those resistor bases?

Hello there,
I appreciate the input, Zoe.
@DaryanDinDFW, I understand your frustration with the recurring faults in your units, particularly the issues with the resistors and the red power line consistency. It would be best to reach out to our Google Store support team for the spare parts availability.
Regards,
Mark
