Is it possible to mount the Nest Thermostat without the "trim kit" ? We are having our place painted and so the painters can repair the dry wall, etc. so the Nest can be mounted without the trim kit. However, the mount piece that is screwed to the box in the wall is rather large and so it would be visible around the thermostat. Is there a similar metal piece available that is the same size as the thermostat?
@Patrick_Caezza There is an existing electrical box that we can't easily remove so I was hoping there was a round plate that would attach to the electrical box and we could patch the wall around the circle.
