Safety temperature

It's not clear to me what temperature nest will take the house to once the safety temp has been reached. All I can find is "it will take heating to normal temperature" . I'd like to be able to set that temp as 10°C is enough to prevent damage when I'm away. Any ideas?

If, for some reason, your room temperature drops below 10, the Safety Temperature function will kick in and the Nest will turn your heat on to reach and maintain a temperature of 10. The Nest will resume its regular schedule (or Away temperature or Eco temperature or whatever it was supposed to be doing normally) once the problem that caused your room temperature to fall below 10 gets fixed.

Notes:

1. You should set your Safety Temperature somewhat below any schedule/Away/Eco temperatures that you've set. Safety Temperature is only for dire emergencies.

2. This probably goes without saying, but if you have a power outage and your heating can't run without electricity, the Nest's Safety Temperature function won't be able to run your heat.

Thanks. Safety did kick overnight the other day and set itself to the highest temp I was using in the schedule, I assume that was because I was home. As I have thermostatic valves in all rooms except where the nest is placed this meant higher than needed temps throughout. I've moved the safety temp lower and set eco lower too and it didn't come on last night when it was colder. Its a pity that there is no commensurate safety 'return to' temp which would help. I'll keep monitoring and let you know. I would have thought the safety function would only kick in when your not home as that's the usual risk factor for burst pipes.
