What do I need to do to get started with temperature?

Hi Emj1966,

Thanks for posting in the Google Nest Community forum. I'd love to know more about it. Depending on your system type and thermostat model, your Google Nest thermostat can have up to 5 available modes: Heat, Cool, Heat • Cool, Off and Eco. 

You can check this guide:

In the Home app

1. Touch and hold your device's tile.
2. Tap Temperature mode
3. Choose the mode you want.

In the Nest app

1. On the home screen, select your thermostat.
2. Tap Mode
3. Choose the mode you want.
