Set up process get stuck

I’ve restarted my thermostat and it continues to get stuck on the screen that says where do I want to put it in my house, e.g. hallway. I click on hallway and nothing happens and I can’t click off that screen. What do I do next?

I have the same problem. Gen 3 thermostat (installed by technician with new AC unit), iPhone 12, IOS 16.5.1. App hangs when I enter “hall” when prompted for where it is located in my house.

Try waiting a VERY long time. Worked for me on both the lock and thermostat after I realized that was still working in very slow motion

Hi folks, 

 

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, and I'm sorry to hear about the situation. Please follow the steps below:

 

  1. Uninstall the Nest app, then reinstall it again.
  2. Sign in to your account.
  3. When you encounter the same situation, wait for 5 minutes, then check if it will proceed.

Yes I did that, it took three minutes and 40 seconds before it loaded. All is well now. Thank you for your follow up
