Setting heat schedule

Hi, when you set a temperature in the heating schedule how long does it heat for?  Do you have to instruct it to reduce the temperature when you want the heating off?  I want to set the heating to come on during off peak hours. You can't seem to set the heating for a period of time, say 5am to 7am.

Your thermostat will follow all your set temperature schedules at a specific time, regardless of how long you set it for that temperature. It will maintain its temperature until the next schedule. When it reaches the desired temperature, it will turn off your system and turn back on when it detects a 2- to 3-degree temperature difference.
