Hi,
I am wondering if I can set a particular range of temperature on the Nest Learning Thermostat?
For example, when I go to sleep, I prefer my room to be very cold, but I dont need the AC running all night once it hits my desired temperature. I have searched many places to find the answer but I am unsure how to set this up properly. Not sure if setting a schedule is the preferred way to go, or using the Eco/Safety Temp settings.
In the night, I want my room to become very cold, lets say 65F, but once it hits that temperature, the AC can go off, until the room becomes warm again, for example 75F. Is that possible to achieve?
Alternatively, can I set a fixed temperature for the entire night while I sleep? If the above is not possible, can I ask the thermostat to hold a given temperature (example of 65F) all night, until I wake up?
Thanks for the help.

Hi Hmajeed,
Thanks for reaching out here in the Google Nest Community.
You can achieve this goal by setting your temperature schedule. This way, your thermostat will be able to remember your settings after a couple of day and it will automatically do it for you after.
I hope it helps.

Hi Ryan,
Is your suggestion to hold the temperature the whole night? I reside in Florida so its extremely warm here. But the nest keeps going off once it reaches a certain temperature. My preference would be for nest to keep blowing cool air all night once it reaches the desired temperature and not go into Eco mode automatically, which is what is happening.
Thanks.

Hi Hmajeed,
Thanks for your reply.
The new Nest Thermostat has a Temperature Hold feature. You could use this feature to hold a certain temperature with your desired length of time.
I hope it helps.

Ryan
