Short cycling issues

Kvelasqu3z

After finally upgrading from gen 1 Nest. The new gen 4 Neat thermostat is short cycling. I currently have the wires as followed red(rh), white(w1), yellow(y1), blue(g) wires. When the blue is on (c) where it should be the HVAC does not turn on at all. I have an old HVAC forced air gas furnace with a separate a/c unit. Thank you for any help/input.

Hi @Kvelasqu3z,

Thank you for posting in the community. I understand you've recently upgraded to a 4th generation Nest Thermostat and are experiencing short cycling with your HVAC system. I'm happy to assist. To gather the necessary information, please answer the following question:

  • Could you please provide a picture of your current and previous thermostat's wiring?

I'll be waiting for your reply.

Best regards.

Debora.
