I have a combination gas-fired condensing hot water heater and space heating fan coil. This if for heating the home and hot water. I also have a Tosot heat pump Unitary Split Air Conditioner. It is used to cool the home. It is functioning as an Air Conditioner Only. The NEST thermostat installation will ask if I have a single or dual fuel system. Because the heat pump is only being used for Air Conditioning I have a Single Fuel System? Right??

Hello Mamo,
Thanks for reaching out to the Google Nest Community Forum. I'd love to know more about this.
Depending on the type of HVAC system you have, the Heat pump type with another heating unit (furnace) has a separate wire for power, and there are times when the system's power is connected to only one power wire. With this, could you please share with us your old thermostat's wiring setup so we can verify how it should be labeled?
I'll look forward to your response.
Regards,
Mark
