Summer Fan comes on when system is set to off. I only have hot air system, system works in winter

Would you mind letting me know what troubleshooting steps you have taken to fix the issue?

Also, would you mind going through the Compatibility Checker to see if your system is compatible please?

I have chain smokers outside. The smoke is getting worse. Burning my eyes where I can't sleep. And I can't stand the smell plus I don't want my home smelling of smoke.  I see the fan setting. Is this blowing the air out of the house or in the house?
