Switching off wifi

I’m switching off the WiFi in my house and wanted to know if nest  would continue working for n this circumstance?

im moving house and converting the house into a buy to let and won’t need wifi for anything else l, but now worried that the heating schedule will be impacted- any info on this?

They work fine if the Internet goes down but the Wifi chip in mine just died and it effectively shut the system off until I fought with it to get it to run without an app connected. If you can get it in this mode it won't care about wifi and any renters won't have apps connected, but what if they do?
