Is there still no temp sensor that works in Google Home with the normal Google Nest Thermostat? I've seen other users asking for this for years now.
This a pretty big negative for a "smart home", especially one that will have a newborn in it shortly.

Hi JDrawz,
Thanks for posting. The Google Nest Thermostat does not have a built-in temperature sensor. It relies on its internal sensors to measure the temperature in its immediate vicinity. This means that it doesn't provide the ability to monitor the temperature in different rooms or areas of your home. However, Google does offer other products, such as the Google Nest Temperature Sensor, that can currently be used in conjunction with the Nest Learning Thermostat and Nest Thermostat E only to monitor and adjust the temperature in specific rooms. These sensors can help create a more balanced and comfortable environment throughout your home.
I understand that having the ability to monitor temperature in different areas of your home, especially with a newborn, is important to ensure their comfort and well-being. We don't have anything else to share right now, but stay tuned for more news and updates.
Congratulations on the upcoming arrival of your newborn, and I wish you all the best in creating a comfortable and smart home environment for your family.
Best,
Zoe

Hi there,
Yes, I'm specifically asking whether there is or will be a Google Nest Temperature Sensor that works with the normal Google Nest (not the 2 models you mentioned). It's sounds like there isn't. Are there any 3rd products that allow this?

Hi there,
We're love that you're excited, but we don't have any news to share about Nest Temperature Sensor compatibility with Nest Thermostat 2020. Right now, Google Nest had not released temperature sensors that were compatible with Nest Thermostat 2020 model. In the meantime, please let our product team know about this through feedback.
Thanks,
Zoe
