Thermostat Not Recognized

Terrible help related to Nest thermostat. Info on site is no help. 
How do I get to talk to someone?

Simply put: the Home app does not recognize my Nest E thermostat. Opening the Google Home app takes me to a page that has the name that I established for the thermostat. Clicking the settings wheel links to the Home settings page. But there is nothing indicating that the thermo is recognized. The physical thermo display indicates that it hooked to the Nest app and that it recognizes my network.

FYI. I'm not the original owner of this device but I did do a reset at some point in the establishment of the account.

Edward, I'm sorry but I don't understand how to go about giving you what you requested. Can you point me to some instructions on how to accomplish this task.

I am using an iPhone 8.
