I’m not in the same state as my thermostat and we had the power go out last night. The thermostat back came up according to the neighbor who checked on it but it’s not showing in my app anymore. It says offline/check your Wi-Fi -thermostats not showing on app, but is running . Wondering if there is anyway to connect thermostat to the app when you I don’t have eyes on. ?

Try signing out of the Nest app and signing back in again. If it still shows as offline, to do any of the troubleshooting, you need to physically be with the thermostat.

Hey Charkraus,
Thanks for the update. Unfortunately, for you to be able to proceed with the troubleshooting, you need to have your Nest Thermostat on hand. You can update us on this thread once you go home so we can proceed with the troubleshooting. For now, I'll just leave this thread open to make sure everything will be taken care of.

No, it didn’t work to try & add the device back into app using the code on back. I will need to wait until fall when I return.
