Thermostat conector

Hello, I bought a Google Nest thermostat, but the old one only had 2 wires. red and white, I bought an adapter that connects to this socket, 2 cables 1 is for connection C and the other I don't know where to place it, the house only uses propane gas heating. If somebody can help me , thank you

Could you share a photo of your current thermostat's wiring and your system's control panel? Also, what type of Nest Thermostat do you have?
