Thermostat help

Just moved into a house with a nest thermostat. Never seen one before and have a silly question. No internet connected in the house yet so can I work the thermostat without internet?

Yes you can. Internet connection is used for the app operation you should still be able to use nest as a normal thermostat. Good luck.

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry for the delay. What type of Nest Thermostat do you have? Nest Thermostats can still work to run your system even if it's not connected to any network, as long as it's already setup.

If you have the Nest Learning Thermostat and Nest Thermostat E, you can still set it up even if your thermostat isn't connected to any network. However, if you have the Nest Thermostat 2020, it will need to be connected to the Wi-Fi network, since it needs to be set up in the Google Home app.
