Thermostat keeps turning heat off and on before reaching temperature

Our heat kicks on as it is supposed to when the temperature is reached. However when trying to get up to temperature it constantly kicks on for a short period of time, the kicks off, then back on shortly after in this cycle until it finally reaches temperature. Curious if anyone has experienced this and what the fix may be. Brand new home so the furnace is new.

But no resolution yet I am guessing... I may have to put the honeywell back on that came with the house it it keeps up. Takes much longer to get to temperature on a schedule because of it.

same here...Even when I turn off the Eco setting it does this. Really need a resolution other than removing nest thermostat...

So I noticed yesterday when going to my furnace, everytime it would turn off and back on, there was actually an error code flashing on the furnace... Looks like at this point it may not be the thermostats. It was fixed this morning and I will keep an eye on it and report back

It is happening to me as well. This is my first winter with the nest and once the set temp is reached the furnace constantly turns on and off for short periods of time. My gas bill is triple what it was last year.  I have an hvac tech coming to check it out but I may return the device. Very disappointed.
