Thermostat needs to Shut down to recharge battery

Hello,  Starting today my Nest Thermostat is not charging while connected to the hard wire.  I followed the instructions provided on Nest Support but still doesn't work.  What do I need to more to resolve this issue?

From what you write I believe that the thermostat was charging before and only recently stopped charging. Is that a correct assumption?

I have this same problem, it was working for a year, now it won’t hold charge.

@Dpike , as long ad your system is providing power and the internal battery is no longer taking a charge, the thermostat will need to be replaced. Check your power on the Nest Thermostat display under SETTINGS.  What are the values being reported?

@Dpike , based on those readings, the thermostat’s charging circuitry is working fine. Your battery is nearly fukk charge at 3.656V and charging current of 200 mA is the maximum.
