Thermostat temperature reading incorrect

Tfruhbeis

Have had my Nest thermostat installed for a year and no issues.  Today, I get an email stating the temperature in my condo has fallen by 8 degrees in 3 .5 hours overnight.     Nest unit reads current temp of 64 degrees , but temp is normal at 72 degrees.  Temp sensor clearly not working.  I’m concerned the Nest will be calling for heat continuously if the temp sensor is not working properly.

Any solutions to fix this?

Hi Tfruhbeis,

Sorry for the delayed response but thanks for reaching out to the Google Nest Community. I want to check on this further.

A few questions — what type of Nest thermostat do you have? Do you have other active Nest thermostats in the same house/location? If yes, do they show the same concern? Also, would you mind listing all the steps you've tried if you already tried some so we can pick up from there?

Best,

Melba
