I received a replacement thermostat on Jan 5, do to other issues. The replacement does not detect the WiFi, or any WiFi. I have tried all the suggestions fixes. I have been in contact with the nest help people several times have been promised a replacement, but nothing has happened. I keep getting form emails telling me I will be contacted, but nothing happens. I need the WiFi connection as I am gone a lot. This is one of the main reasons I purchased Nest. Please help.

Got two nest thermostats back in April.  One of them lost WI-FI on Aug 21. Tried every possible fix on my own, then contacted support with no success to fix the issue. They ordered me a replacement unit, But it is still not shipped. Contacted support again. They told me to wait additional 7 days to get an update on my order. The replacement unit price is blocked on my credit card until I return the broken thermostat. Sweet.

Hey there,

Sorry for the late response, but I wanted to drop in here to help.

I understand that wifi issues when it comes to thermostats can be confusing but I definitely wanted to stop by and see how I could help.

Just wanted to double check to see if you were still needing help on this? If so, what troubleshooting steps have you tried?

Please let me know.

Best regards,

Hi Garrett

I have tried the suggestions like@

a) rebooted my wifi router multiple time

b) Rebooted and reset the thermostat including letting it discharge conmpletely

c) Tried entering name of wifi network

d) Added a 3G network to my wifi router

The thermostat will not see any networks even though my laptop and phone can see multiple networks.

Any help in resolving this will be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Yashpal.

I'm currently in the same situation, did they give you any other info?

Here it is a month since I last requested help, but nothing from Nest.  Are you still there?

Am also awaiting a response. Is there a UK contact number I can ring to get help?
