My current honeywell wiring is like the photo in my condo unit. It is centre controlled system with 3 speed fan speed. After I did the compatibility check, I assumed that the nest 3rd gen is compatible with my current system. Not sure tho.
I tried to install the thermostat with the wiring below. However, the thermostat was keep shutting off with no power message and says no c common wire.
Since there is no wire that I can hook up to C common wire, I purchased nest c power kit which I can use two R&W wires for R, W and C wires. I am still waiting for the c power kit and have not installed it yet.
In a meanwhile, I want to know if my current hvac is compatible with nest 3rd with c power kit. Also, I would like to know what I should do with the current L wire.
W/Y (orange) goes to W
Y/A (yellow) goes to Y
GI (red) goes to W1
Gm (blue) goes to W2
Gh (brown) goes to * (pro setting to fan speed high)
Rs (white) goes to Rc

Hi spacecsh,
Thanks for posting here in the Community forum and for showing interest with our Nest Thermostats.
I checked your thermostat wires and found that this requires the assistance of our local HVAC professional as you have multiple fan speeds on your current thermostat. On the other hand, the thermostat wire connected to the L terminal of your current thermostat is not needed for a Nest Thermostat, as that can be an indicator light, and Nest Thermostats use their LCD display instead of an indicator light. You can check out this article for more information.
Let us know if you have any other questions. We're happy to help.
Best,
Zoe
