Do I wire using the connections Y, G, R and W? Original wire setup:

Y - Blue wire attached

G - Green wire attached

RC - Jumper attached

RH - Red wire attached (Jumper between RC and RH)

W/E - White wire attached

I sure thought there would be more help here.  But looks like not.  I posted something a while back and nothing.

Hello @dew531

Thanks for reaching out to our Nest community about this new installation. I'm so sorry for all the inconvenience. Don't worry, I'm here to help you with it.

According to your description you can wiring our Nest Learning Thermostat with your system following this image:

Note the jumper between RC and RH is not necessary with our Thermostat. However, I would really appreciate it if you could tell me information about your HVAC system.

For example, you could tell me if your system is conventional or use a heat pump, or you could share the wiring for your actual thermostat. This to confirm if your system will work fine with this wiring configuration.

Feel free to continue posting. I'm happy to find a solution for you.

Best regards,

Douglas.
